October Half-Term Art Workshops

Three days of creativity, colour and imagination at Saga’s Artverse!
 

Missed our summer camp, or ready for more creative fun? Join us this October half-term to explore new skills, experiment with different materials and bring your ideas to life in a friendly, encouraging environment.

Little Artists - Ages 6+ | 26, 27 & 28 October 2026
 

Our Little Artists workshops combine creative writing, real pumpkin painting and canvas painting.
 

Children will explore imaginative words, sentences and short stories, decorate a real pumpkin with their own colours and patterns, and create a canvas painting. Along the way, they’ll practise colour mixing, brush control and adding details, with step-by-step guidance and plenty of encouragement to make their own creative choices.
 

Writing activities will be adapted to each child’s ability, helping them build confidence and enjoy expressing their ideas.
 

Older Artists - Ages 11+ | 29, 30 & 31 October 2026
 

These workshops focus on more detailed real pumpkin painting and canvas painting, helping artists develop their techniques and individual style.
 

Students will explore composition, colour blending, layering, shading and fine brushwork, learning how to create depth and texture. Working on both curved pumpkin surfaces and canvas will encourage them to experiment with different approaches.
 

With individual guidance throughout, artists will plan their designs, refine their brush control and add thoughtful finishing touches to their artwork.
